There's a real life Pac Man maze coming to Australia in August

Sydneysiders – get excited! A real-life version of Pac Man, dubbed Pac Maze, is coming your way in August!

Here’s everything you’ll need to know if you’re keen to head along.

Taking place in a secret location near Sydney’s central business district, the game will allow for Pac Man lovers of all-ages to get their Pac Maze fix.

In a ticketing page uploaded to Eventbrite, the creators of the real-life game say “We’re creating the ultimate nostalgic 80’s gaming inspired escape maze in Sydney for two days at a secret location within 15 minutes from the CBD.”

The maze, which will take place over August 16 and 17, will see game players challenged in a pixelated world. Dodging ghosts, grabbing fruit and running amok will be part of the fun, just like in the real game.

“This immersive activation brings you a huge AF maze with the chance to lose yourself in a pixelated world that will have you and your friends running, dodging ghosts and grabbing fruit to be the ultimate winner.

”Enter the maze for your chance to find prizes before the ghosts gets you! Inside the maze you will need to complete a coded pac puzzle along with collecting fruit, be the first to complete the puzzle and collect all the fruit to be the ultimate winner. If you get caught by a ghost you lose a life, lose 3 lives and you’re out!”

“Once you’ve escaped the pac maze and ghosts you and your friends can kick it in our 80’s themed pixel bar which will include the OG game system and a DJ who will be belting out the classics to wind the clock back.”
