The new trailer for ‘IT Chapter Two’ has released, and boy are we holding onto our little paper boats.

The trailer, which is full of nightmare-fuel sure to keep us up in the next few weeks, sees the ‘Loser’s Club’ reassemble to take down Pennywise once and for all.

We get a good look at the grown-up versions of the characters from the first film and the side-by-side casting is amazing. The film stars Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader, James Ransone, Jay Ryan, Andy Bean and Isaiah Mustafa, with Bill Skarsgård returning for his role as Pennywise.

The trailer for the final chapter was originally shown at San Diego Comic-Con ahead of its online release.

Set for a September 6th release, we can hardly wait to see a scarier, and possible more mature cinematic interpretation of the second half of Stephen King’s novel.

Set 27 years after the first film, Pennywise returns to terrorise the now grown-up members of the ‘Loser’s Club’ who have long since drifted apart from one another.

The first film, which felt like a horror sequel to Stand By Me, felt humorous and anticlimactic at times, but spawned some amazing memes for the internet to enjoy.

Hopefully, the new film can create a darker tone and also allow for some amazing moments that up the ante.

In an interview, Skarsgård (who plays Pennywise) said:

“He’s scarier and he’s angrier… there’s a couple of very brutal things in the film.”

Just from the trailer, it’s evident that things are going to take a much darker tone in this film and we can’t wait for the sleepless nights.

Though the first film was light on references to the ancient turtle god Maturin, director Andy Muschietti has told SyFy Wire in an interview to expect more of him.

“I think in the second part, the turtle will try to help them.”

We eagerly await to see this classic horror masterpiece hit the big screens on September 6th and hopefully see some more Turtle representation.
