Not content to let her MAFS rival Olivia Frazer cop all the flak, Domenica Calarco has now come under fire for a series of uncomfortable comments about Robert Irwin.
As per the Daily Mail, Domenica has attracted criticism after several comments she previously made on the 18-year-old’s TikTok account resurfaced.
“God you are so handsome,” she gushed in one, while in another she asked, “would you like to come to the Logies with me on Sunday? Xx” With the MAFS contestant being 29-years-old and Robert just recently turning 18, her comments on the legendary Steve Irwin’s son were deemed “gross” by many.
The backlash even led Domenica to double down on her comments in a since-deleted post. “In Australia, legal age is 16. He is 18,” she explained, getting technical. “He can drink alcohol. I can ask him to come to the Logies with me, and say that he is handsome. Take a chill pill everyone.”
It’s an interesting time for Domenica’s comments to resurface as Robert made a lot of people swoon this weekend when he appeared in a magazine shoot for Stellar.
Gone was the classic khaki uniform that has defined the Irwin family image, replaced by a very different look (reminiscent of The Wiggles’ complete transformation on the Rolling Stone Australia cover).
“I’ve actually become known as the fashionable Irwin,” Robert said in the interview. “My dad wasn’t exactly a fashion icon, but he was iconic just in the fact that he made khaki cool.”

The photos depicting Robert all grown up attracted a lot of attention online. “I’m going to need several years to recover from this magazine cover/spread of Robert Irwin,” wrote someone in the caption for a popular TikTok video. “Robert Irwin needs to calm down with his growing up,” asserted someone else.
