If someone with the power and stature of Kanye West said in a track that he wanted to beat me up, I’d probably never leave the house again. It seems like Pete Davidson is braver than me though.

The Saturday Night Live star has hired extra security just to be on the safe side, according to his friends. It comes after Ye rapped “God saved me from that crash / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass” in his new track ‘My Life Was Never Eazy’.

“Pete isn’t worried about Kanye, but he is concerned about the massive fanbase that Kanye has. His devoted followers listen to his songs and act upon them. That’s why Pete is now using security,” sources told Radar Online.

Even when he was engaged to pop superstar Ariana Grande, Davidson was rarely spotted with burly security surrounding him. Dating Kim Kardashian, though, has changed all that. “Dating Kim is a totally different level of fame,” the sources continued. “Pete is now a superstar, which comes with a price. As much as he still wants to be low-key and hang with his friends, the reality of his situation has changed.”

That’s why Davidson doesn’t seem to be taking any chances. “Whenever he is out with Kim, they use her security. But now Pete needs his own security when he is out alone,” the sources added. “He is still Pete, but now Pete comes with a 6’1, 220 lbs security guard.”

With his scrawny frame, Davidson probably knows he wouldn’t be the favourite in any physical altercation. You’ve got to know your limitations. And relations between Ye and Davidson’s new beau have been deteriorating recently.

Ye took to Instagram Live over the weekend to accuse Kim of not inviting him to their daughter Chicago’s party. It was only after Travis Scott gave his fellow rapper the address that Ye made it to the party.
