The, ah, always educational Pornhub has launched a Sex Ed video series dedicated to teaching folks about the birds n’ the bees.

Succinctly titled Pornhub Sex Ed, the 11 part series will cover topics ranging from sexual health and contraception to masturbation and even penis size.

Although a porn site may not seem like the most natural platform for a series on the realities of sex, Pornhub vice president Corey Price acknowledged that plenty of people learn through “popular culture” (rightly or wrongly).

“For many people, their first real exposure to sexual imagery is from popular culture, where dramatisation and entertainment value distort what real sex is like,” he said in a statement (via news.com.au)

“That’s why the Pornhub sexual wellness centre created this new video series: to provide a go-to resource for people to learn about how to have sex safely and get visual answers to common questions about sexual experiences,” he said.

The series will feature insights from a variety of sexual health experts, including Dr Laurie Betito, director of the sexual wellness centre.

“Our mission is to share quality information, and we continue to explore ways that we can do that in not only an educational way, but an entertaining one,” she said in a statement.

“Many people have questions on how to have sex, so we hope that our video series will provide the visuals that go with those questions.”

I mean yeah, it’s safe to say one can always count on Pornhub for, um, visuals.

But in all seriousness, we welcome any resource that aims to provide holistic, judgement-free sex education, even if it may come from the unlikeliest of sources.

With the entire series now available to stream for free, we’re already sure it’ll be more worthwhile than that year eight health class.
