Gideon Bensen – The Preatures’ guitarist – has dropped a surprise solo single and announced one-off shows in Sydney and Melbourne in celebration.

The single, ‘All New Low’, was released it through Bensen’s new label, Puncture Records, and features a variety of big-name guests including backing vocals from Megan Washington, guitar from Jack Moffitt (Preatures) and drums from Carlos Adura (Tambourine Girls).

Bensen says that he had been exploring hip hop and beat making during recording, taking inspiration from the likes of NSW, Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar – which will more than likely be heard when he releases his solo EP next year.

See Bensen performing the new single live at theNewtown Social Club on Saturday February 13.
