For months there has been a can of Pringles on supermarket shelves that has been entirely white in colour boasting heaps of question marks begging the question “what’s the flavour?” Well, it’s now been revealed. Did you guess it right?

How many times have you tucked into Pringles mystery flavour since it’s release only to be completely stumped? Sure, you can taste a bit of cheese and a hint of bacon, but other than that it’s still had you entirely clueless, right? Wonder no more, as the crisp hockers have divulged that the flavour is isn’t parmesan, and isn’t bacon mac ‘n’ cheese, but is actually carbonara.

The mystery flavour not only confused Aussies in their homes, but is responsible for causing an internet debate as to who’s tastebuds were the most accurate with many arguing that it could be cheesy garlic pizza flavoured, or even that it tasted close to a Caesar salad.

To even add to the cheekiness surrounding the flavour, Pringles had been popping up small clues left and right to hint Aussies in the right direction via their Facebook page.

Now that we know the details surrounding the flavour, we can’t help but feel a bit annoyed that we didn’t guess it from the get go. Of course it was carbonara! What else boasts such a rich combination of both cheese, bacon, and a hint of cream and pasta?

“There were so many pasta-bilities,” Mr. P, himself, details. “Released today from our top-secret Pringles food lab, with flavour notes of bacon, pasta, and parmesan cheese, the secret chip flavour is… Carbonara.”

So, did you guess the delicious mystery flavour right? If so, you best hope that you entered your guess into the Mystery Flavour competition, with correct guessers in the running to win a delicious prize: $10,000 smackers.
