After an extensive online campaign, Domino’s are buckling under the pressure of Australia’s pastry enthusiasts and have announced that their beloved Puff Pastry Crust has returned.

It’s been 15 years since the pie kings introduced the game-changing puff crust to their menu. Why it disappeared from our lives remains a mystery, but we’re so thrilled by the news that it’s made its long-awaited return.

This news is truly the raison d’etre for those who don’t fuck with chewy pizza dough. I personally am a huge advocator for a pie that appropriates the luscious, flakey texture of a spanakopita.

“It’s been 15 years since we first brought pizza and puff together as a truly unique ‘square’ meal and it remains one of our most popular menu items of all time,” Culinary Innovation & Development Chef Michael Treacy said in a statement. “Such is the love for Puff that our customers have composed many passionate and inspiring pleas on social media for its return. And who are we to deny them?”

The Domino’s Puff Pastry Crust is only available for a limited time, so make sure you don’t hold out on satiating your burning desires. An upgrade on any Value, Traditional or Premium pizza to Puff Pastry Crust will set you back $2 extra.

2021 has truly seen Domino’s expand their menu horizons. Last month, the joint unveiled a brand spanking new menu dedicated to those with a hankering for chicken sans the grease.

The menu saw the addition of three new za’s to the lineup; Chicken Supreme, Buffalo Chicken and Chicken Fresco. If you’re not one for a scouser’s laptop, there are a are a bunch of other non-pizza offerings that you can gorge on: with Boneless Chicken Tenders and Seasoned Chicken Wings.
