Often considered one of the finest contemporary dance works of the 20th century, William Forsythe’s Quintett is coming to Sydney in March.

Sydney Dance Company will be the first company in the Southern Hemisphere to present the show, with only seven companies around the world being permitted to host the piece.

The work is set to renowned UK composer Gavin Bryar’s 1971 composition ‘Jesus’s Blood Never Failed Me Yet’. Forsythe worked with Ballet Frankfurt dancers to create an experience that is delicate, tender and heart-wrenching.

William Forsythe’s Quintett premiers at Sydney Theatre on Monday March 9.
