With the current global pandemic of COVID-19 not only affecting peoples health, but also impacting nearly every segment of the world, what are you doing to help?

The wise words of the late television icon Fred Rogers of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood seem to always pop up in times of crisis. With COVID-19 majorly affecting every industry worldwide, and people falling susceptible to depression in these dark times, it’s always good to look for the positive things that are happening in the midst of it all.

“When I was a boy,” Rogers stated, “and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.'” As things currently view as very grim, this quote can help others to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and look towards those who are trying their best even if they are also suffering from the waves this virus has made.

Throughout this whole ordeal, billions of people have been affected. Whether they’ve caught the virus, lost someone to the virus, or perhaps their job was lost due to many industries having to shut due to the current restrictions and regulations, it’s no surprise that many are feeling a bit down on their luck.

Even though we might want to stop and wallow in the depression that’s unfolding, it’s important that we look towards the vulnerable, even if we are a bit vulnerable ourselves, and see how we can help.

With many people having to quarantine, are you helping those few by providing meals? Are you practicing social distancing in hopes that it’ll help slow the virus down? Perhaps you’re simply deciding not to fan the fire of hysteria by sharing false information? Let us know below how you’re being a ‘helper’ in these trying times.
