If you’ve run out of PS5 games to play, Ratchet & Clank is the perfect solution without having to open up your wallet.

We love a good freebie as much as the next person, and today we have a real banger for you. That’s because if you own a PS5 or PS4 you can head to the PlayStation Store right now and pick yourself up a copy of Ratchet and Clank for $0.

That’s an even better deal than the five-cent pieces of fairy bread we used to snag at the tuckshop!

Released in 2016, Ratchet & Clank is a re-imagining of the PS2 classic and includes footage from the series’ foray into Hollywood that… perhaps is better left forgotten. It’ll also serve as the perfect introduction to the duo’s creative antics before Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart launches for PS5 on June 11.

“In these historic times, the team at PlayStation wanted to thank the community by giving something back” said Sony Interactive Entertainment President & CEO Jim Ryan in a blog post. “These days, we could all use something to look forward to and another reason to stay safely socially distanced, so we are happy to be able to offer a free selection of great games and some entertainment offers…

“This year, we wanted to go further. So we’ve designed a series of free games and entertainment offers for our PlayStation community to make the next few months a little more fun and enjoyable.”

The gesture is Sony’s attempt to bring back its ‘Play At Home’ initiative. You might recall last April the company gave players the opportunity to download both Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey for free.

It was a move designed to encourage people to stay at home amidst the global pandemic. This year the offering is set to continue until June, but no word yet on what else might be on the cards.

We’re quietly hoping for Horizon: Zero Dawn, because who doesn’t love robot dinosaurs?
