You could rent a ‘The Block’ 2022 house for a hefty monthly price

If you’ve got a spare $12,000 a month to put aside for rent, you could be shacking up in one of last year’s The Block houses in no time.

Sarah Jane and Tom, who sold their house on the show’s auction day for $4,100,000.99, have shared that the four bedroom, ten-acre property is up for rent.

The reality stars shared the news on their Instagram with a video showing a ‘For Rent’ sign outside the house they renovated. In the video, Tom can be heard saying: “This could be yours for $2,800 a week.”

By calculation, $2800 a week works out to $145,600, making the rent for the house a whopping $12,133 per month.

“Evoking the still tranquillity of the nearby mountain range and offering innate luxury on an indulgent level, this 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom architectural residence beautifully unites its period origins with bespoke country relaxation,” part of the house’s rent advertisement reads.

The description also adds that the house is “partly furnished” and only includes “washer & dryer, fridge, 2 x wine fridges, tables, chairs, couches, beds (no bed linen), sideboards, outdoor furniture.”

And, Sarah Jane and Tom’s house isn’t the only The Block 2022 property listed for rent. Omar and Oz’s house, which won the season and sold for $1,586,666.666, is also listed for rent for the same price.

Like Tom and Sarah Jane’s house, Omar and Oz’s reno project is partly furnished with the same inclusions. Both houses were listed by the same real estate agents at Bella South Melbourne.

Part of the description for Omar and Oz’s house reads: “Adopting the nickname ‘The Bathroom Room Kings,’ Omar and Oz have meticulously designed indulgent winning spaces. The central bathroom, ensuite, and guest bathroom showcases walk-in showering and free-standing pampering baths with gorgeous copper piping highlights, Velux skylights, plantation shutters and rustic herringbone tiling.”
