Sydney PR queen Roxy Jacenko has lashed out at her Sweaty Betty employees in a scathing rant posted to her Instagram on Wednesday.

Posting a notice sent to her from SafeWork NSW, Jacenko said that she had already had two visits from the police to her office in Paddington, which she believes was a result of one of her own workers dobbing her in.

The letter noted that the complaint “alleged that workers are not being allowed to work from home in line with public health orders without consultation or a reasonably practical review being conducted.”

Firing back in a post to the ‘gram alongside a snap of the notice, Jacenko said: “I have had enough.

“Running a small business is hard enough, due to lockdown I have an empty office with over 20 working remotely, I am doing the work of at least 4 by myself, my online team (for 3 online stores) are working in the office on shorter hours as products don’t send themselves with Auspost.

“I have had 2 visits from the Police and now this letter – enough now.

“I wonder if I stopped paying the wages of these imbeciles who are making these reports of me apparently flouting the rules they might change their tune…”

The comment section quickly blew up with divisive opinions, with Julia Morris seemingly supporting Jacenko by writing: “I mean, how absurd. Hang in there lovely x”

Others slammed the publicist for flouting the rules amid the NSW coronavirus outbreak, with one follower commenting: “Maybe your staff are nervous about Covid but feel pressured to be in the office of fear of losing their jobs? Calling them imbeciles doesn’t really help your cause.”

Another added: “You can do online? We did all through Covid during lockdown.”

Under the current lockdown measures across Sydney, it has been declared that all work should be done from home where feasible.
