When we put together our annual Top 100 Advocates For World Peace issue of the magazine, Russell Crowe wasn’t even on the list, so it was pleasing to see Rusty promoting peace yesterday, by sharing the musical work of Sydney musician (and citizen of the world) Ben Lee.

The song Russell shot into the universe is ‘We’re All In This Together’ from Lee’s 2005 record Awake Is The New Sleep. A good choice.
The track sits somewhere between an anthem and a mantra, and is quite a good message to be spreading. Ben seems amused by Russell’s stamp of approval, too.
Also, as a side note — and I know Ben is a karmic surfer, so such litigious actions may not be up his alley — he totally could have sued High School Musical for completely ripping off this tune, and made a mint. I’m made of atoms, you’re made of atoms, Zac Efron is made of atoms.
