We know that Ryan Reynolds will be back in the MCU’s take on Deadpool 3, but his pre-Disney pitch would’ve been awesome.

Ever since Disney got a hold of 20th Century Fox and all its Marvel assets, one big question on every Marvel fan’s lips has been what will become of Deadpool – i.e Fox’s most successful Marvel franchise – now that its in the hands of MCU head honcho Kevin Feige.

Well it seems like fans need not be too worried about whether the Merc With A Mouth would fit into the MCU’s family friendly aesthetic because Feige has said that an R-rated Deadpool 3 starring Ryan Reynolds is coming and the character will be just as foul-mouthed as before.

That would’ve been a relief to those worried about Disney potentially censoring Deadpool ala what that god awful Wolverine solo movie did.

While there’s no doubt that an R-rated MCU take on Deadpool 3 will be great, it seems like we may have missed out on a great third Deadpool movie after Disney went and bought 20th Century Fox.

Ryan Reynolds shared a tweet promoting open and healthy discussions about mental health as part of the ‘Bell Let’s Talk‘ campaign in Canada.

But things quickly took a left field turn as the actor then revealed that his pre-Disney take on Deadpool 3 would’ve been a road trip involving the Merc With A Mouth and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the style of Rashomon.

Fark, that’s an amazing idea and one that would’ve been stuffed with gold.

Just think, Deadpool and Wolverine shooting the shit for two hours while stuck in a car, and all the stories exchanged by the two will be heavily biased and self-serving. Now that would’ve been entertaining and would’ve broke new ground for comic book movie adaptations not unlike like what 2017’s Logan did funnily enough.

Whether or not this idea would’ve went ahead had Disney not bought 20th Century Fox is up in the air given how adamant Hugh Jackman is about being done with the Wolverine character.

But now that the Deadpool property is in the hands of Disney and the suits in charge of the MCU, maybe this idea will get revived.

Surely the thought of being a part of the MCU is enough to persuade Hugh Jackman for one last go at Wolverine. Here’s hoping anyway.
