Coronavirus cancelled pretty much everything. It didn’t matter if you were looking forward to a simple night out with the mates or were planning for your dream wedding, firm restrictions set in place saw all events stunted to a halt. Well…everything except pizza being delivered straight to your door. That has luckily weathered the storm!
Nights in with pizza and a movie has been the one saving grace to come from all this – especially since Domino’s has offered zero contact delivery, so we can still get our pizza on while keeping everyone’s health in mind.
However, if your wedding was the large event cancelled in the wake of COVID-19, you may still need a bit more cheeriness in your life.
Well, Domino’s will be trying to brighten would-be newlyweds day by dishing out pizza parties for two for the day that was intended for your “I do’s”.
Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO Nick Knight has said that while “pizza can’t solve all the world’s problems,” one thing it certainly can do is “brighten-up a bad day.”
“Thousands of Aussie couples were within weeks of their special day when the pandemic hit – forcing them to change their plans almost overnight,” and that now couples will “likely spend what would have been their wedding day at home, physically distanced from the ones they love.”

With that in mind, Domino’s wants “to give those who have had to make the emotional decision to postpone their wedding something to smile about and remember during this difficult time,” he continued.
So, what’s on offer, and what do you have to do? Domino’s is planning to offer 100 Australian couples who have seen their wedding date come and go without celebration a chance to have a good ol’ pizza party with their soon-to-be spouse.
To enter, you’ve just got to tell Domino’s a short and sweet story about when and where your wedding was supposed to take place, and why you think pizza would be the perfect dish to cheer you up a bit.
The competition ends on Thursday, May 28th, so head to Domino’s website, and enter to win some delicious pizza, and say your “I dough’s”.
