Newman, longtime nemesis to (the fictional) Jerry Seinfeld, is back in a new ad and he’s got something to say about voting and Donald Trump.
With the 2020 U.S. presidential election just a few weeks away and the fate of democracy literally hanging in the balance, Democrats and GOP are making their last arguments to voters before Tuesday, November 3rd, arrives.
Seeing as how the stakes are higher than ever, political action committee Pacronym decided to enlist the help of none other than Wayne Knight to appear in an anti-Trump ad.
Reprising his beloved Seinfeld role of Newman for an ad titled ‘A Friendly Message From Your Neighbourhood Mail Carrier‘, which was written by former Seinfeld writer David Mandel, Knight doesn’t hold back his attacks on Trump and the Trump administration’s “systematic premediated assault on the U.S. mail.”
“That guy’s never even licked a stamp,” says Wayne (as Newman). “They’ve had the unmitigated gall to try to slow down the mail, when everybody knows that the only person who can slow down the mail is a mailman.”
Pausing mid-rant to whip out a massive turkey drumstick, Wayne continues to criticise the Trump administration for shortening working hours, removing mailboxes, and decommissioning “sweet, sweet sorting machines,” all in an attempt to stop voters from voting by mail.
In the words of Newman: “When the mail stops, the world stops!”

Wayne concludes the ad by advising voters to vote early in-person and to send in mail ballots as soon as possible to get around any potential fuckery Trump will undoubtedly get up to ahead of the election.
As a cherry on top, Wayne then takes a nice little shot at Trump’s tax returns (“The ones you don’t want anyone seeing!”) by saying he “should never have mailed those.”
Seeing Newman go after Trump is something none of us could’ve predicted, but we are living in a strange and dark time so anything is possible at this point.
Wonder what Jerry Seinfeld has to say about his long-time nemesis going after Trump like that.
