A preview of the upcoming Selling Sunset reunion shows Jason opening up about his emotional breakup with his ex-girlfriend and co-star Chrishell.
“Was it a showmance for you? Was it real?” The host asks Jason at the reunion, suggesting that Jason and Chrishell may have staged their relationship for the show.
Jason replied, “I mean, I hesitate to answer that question because I don’t want to give it any credence. That’s like asking me if the earth is flat, it’s a stupid question to me.”
He added, “And I don’t feel the need to explain to people that a very meaningful relationship.” The Oppenheim Group co-founder then paused as he broke down in tears.
“Sorry, I just need a second,” he said, unable to continue his train of thought.
His employees and co-stars jumped in to help him.
“It’s tough to see you like this,” Davina is captured telling him. Mary added: “Do you need a hug, babe?”
When Jason appeared too overwhelmed with emotions to continue, the host asked, “Jason, it’s so rare that I see you emote on this show. What are you feeling?”
“I mean, there’s a lot of sadness and loss,” Jason replied. “I think watching the show made it more difficult. You know, [it] brought it back up. It’s been a few months, but I’m still just going through stuff. I think there was a lot of love between us and there still is and I still care about her very much, and this has been a very difficult breakup.”
Jason and Chrishell dated for seven months and split late last year. It’s been highly speculated that Chrishell has recently begun a relationship with non-binary Australian musician G Flip. The pair seemingly confirmed their relationship earlier this week when they were spotted walking down a road in Denver holding hands.
