Normally Seth Rogen being high wouldn’t be newsworthy – it’d be like reporting on the sky still being blue – but when he reveals that he was extremely stoned during Adele’s TV special, you pay attention.

Last month, the pop superstar held a special two-hour concert, Adele: One Night Only, featuring singing and an Oprah interview as she promoted her new album 30. Held at Los Angeles’ Griffith Park Observatory, the great and the good of Hollywood turned out for the event.

One of those stars was Seth Rogen, who attended with his wife Lauren Miller. Thinking it was a quiet little intimate thing, the pair smoked a “ton of weed” and got “extremely high” beforehand. When they got there and discovered the huge size of the special, Rogen was rather taken aback.

“I was in the front row of the Adele concert,” Rogen said during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “That is as surprising to me as anyone because I had no idea I was attending the taping of an Adele television special at all.”

Whoever decided to plant the actor and his wife at the front is a genius – the special is filled with shots of Rogen gleefully clapping along after every song, doing an impression of someone looking very cool at an Adele concert as he said.

He continued by revealing the very famous face sitting right behind him at the event: “There are so many more famous people here who should be sitting where I’m sitting, and I could feel them being insulted that I had such a good seat,” he joked. “I was in front of Drake. Like there’s no world where I should be in front of Drake. How was that possible?”

“I think it’s the most popular thing I’ve ever been in, in my entire life,” he joked to Fallon. “There are people who I know who have not watched my last 5 movies who have been texting me, ‘That Adele concert looked amazing.'”
