Looking back on Sex and the City (SATC), the fashion, the styling, the looks – everything is so enviable. For those of us trying to recreate the Y2K or ‘90s vibes, it’s nothing short of the most perfect mood board.

Across the entire series, there’s an outfit perfect for any event. Whether it’s as low key as going out to get coffee with your friends, or (not so low key), to attend your very own book launch party. They had it all covered.

Then of course, some of the looks aren’t so good. But I guess that’s why they call fashion risks – sometimes they pay off and then sometimes they don’t.

Now as we draw closer and closer to the show’s upcoming reboot series, And Just Like That, we’re living for every piece of info we can get. First it was announced that Samantha Jones (played by Kim Cattrall) wouldn’t be returning to the series.

And then for a hot minute we were also unsure of whether or not the ladies’ baes would be part of the new plot line. Turns out the triple threat will be back, including Mr Big (Chris Noth), Aiden Shaw (John Corbett) and Steve Brady (David Eigenberg), which was recently confirmed by the New York Post Magazine.

However, a very significant person responsible for the original series’ iconic fashion won’t be returning for And Just Like That.

As reported by Dazed, Patricia Field, the show’s iconic costume designer, also responsible for wardrobe designing a range of other projects including The Sopranos, has declined working on the SATC reboot to focus on her current engagement with Netflix’s Emily in Paris.

Seeing as Field won’t be returning to the Sex and the City franchise, we’ll have to wait and see who will be instead. If one thing’s for sure, they’ve got their work cut out for them!
