Shapes are widely regarded as one of Australia’s best biccies – and this is largely due to the flavour explosion that’s involved with chowing down on a pack. Now, the options are endless for the iconic biscuit flavouring, with news that Arnott’s is releasing limited edition BBQ sachets.

The sachets will consist of the same leftover goodness that’s generally left at the bottom of a silver pack of Barbecue shapes. However, the delectable bits won’t actually come at the bottom of the pack or even in the pack at all. Arnotts is releasing the sachets individually, and consumers can add it to whatever they please – like popcorn or plain chips.

“People love the extra flavour at the bottom of the Shapes box, almost half the country admits to eating it,” Shapes brand manager Alice Johnson told news.com.au.

“And we’ve heard the hundreds of passionate pleas from our fans to release something like the sachets, so we’ve finally made ‘Flavour You Can Shake’ happen.”

“Shapes fans are some of the most passionate around and we have no doubt they’re going to be thrilled to try the sachets,” she said.

“We can’t wait to see what recipes are inspired by the new Shapes Flavour Shakers.”

Johnson added that a survey of the Australian public found that Barbecue was the most popular Shapes flavour.

“Barbecue Shapes are Australia’s favourite flavour according to (the) survey, which is why we started with these beauties,” Ms Johnson added.

Aussies can get their hands of the flavour sachets free of charge by visiting Arnotts.com and registering their details. The first 2500 applicants will receive a complimentary set of sachets in the post.

A similar product was released way back in 2018 when Hungry Jacks added BBQ Shapes shaker chips to their menu. The popular item consisted of a box of hot chips with a sachet of Barbecue Shapes flavour to sprinkle on to them.
