A man has pleaded not guilty to stalking reality star Simone Holtznagel after police have alleged that he is “obsessed” with her.

Benjamin Reeves, 58, skipped out on a court appearance at Waverley Local Court yesterday where he was due to address charges of stalking with the intention of causing her fear of physical or mental harm. Although Reeves wasn’t physically present, his lawyer entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf.

Court documents allege that Reeves stalked the SAS star for nearly four months from April – with the majority of stalking being committed around Bondi Beach, Sydney. It’s alleged that Holtznagel has never met Reeves.

Reeves was arrested in August, and taken to Chatswood police station and charged that day, as per the Daily Mail Australia.

The case is due to return to court in October, where Reeves will set a date to fight the charges. For now, the judge has awarded Holtznagel an apprehended violence order which prohibits her alleged stalker from approaching, contacting or harming the high-profile model.

Holtznagel shot to fame in 2011, when she was a finalist in Australia’s Next Top Model. Since then, she’s completed a number of popular brands, including Guess Jeans, Bras N Things and Honey Birdette. She also modelled for the US edition of Playboy.

More recently, the model appeared on the Australian edition of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! In 2018, and this year on SAS Australia season three, where she voluntarily withdrew in episode four.
