MCU hero Simu Liu has taken to social media to throw his support behind dumped contestant Ethan Kang to be the next ‘Bachelor’ lead.

Ethan didn’t receive a rose from Bachelorette Rachel on Monday night’s episode of The Bachelor. However, he has emerged as a fan favourite from the popular reality show, and social media users have thrown their support behind the 27-year-old advertising executive.

And, it seems that one of Hollywood’s elite is also a fan of The Bachelor contestant. After the episode aired, Simu Liu took to his Instagram account to campaign for Ethan to become the next Bachelor lead.

“Make this man the Bachelor!! @ethankang1,” he wrote on his IG story alongside a photo of the reality star.

Clearly flattered by the mention, Ethan reposted the story with a heartfelt caption. “When the first Asian Marvel Super Hero reposts you. My year is made. Thank you @simuliu you’re truly an inspiration.” he wrote and included the hashtags #asianrepresentation, #aapicommunity and #shangchi.

In 2021 Simu Liu starred in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings as Shang Chi and made history as the first Asian Marvel superhero.

Funnily enough, Simu Liu actually has loose ties to the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise. In 2018 he played the part of Ben in the Asian-American parody movie Asian Bachelorette 2.

And, the MCU star has also dipped his toes into the reality TV world in recent years. Last year, he appeared in a full episode of Selling Sunset season four as Chrishell Stause helped him find his dream house in Los Angeles.

The chemistry between Chrishell Stause and Simu Liu was unmistakable, and thousands of fans took to social media to ship a potential relationship between the TV stars.

“I know Jason and Chrishell are going to happen….but I REALLY want Chrishell and Simu to happen…. ” Tweeted one fan, referring to the budding relationship between Chrishell and her boss Jason.
