Influencer and former reality star Skye Wheatley has been slammed for sharing a video of the aftermath of the helicopter crash new Sea World that took four people’s lives.
Skye took to her Instagram story shortly after the tragic event happened, and zoomed in on the crash site, telling her followers: “Guys a helicopter just crashed right on that sandbank. Three people have died and two people are severely injured.”
Influencer watchdog Instagram account Dutch Minty reposted the story before she could delete it, and people have slammed Skye over the clip.
“It shows such a clear lack of empathy that the first thing you would think to do when seeing an accident is pull your phone out and record to show people you saw it,” wrote one person.
Another user commented, “She is an absolute mindless fool. I think she’s one of the worst influencers and constantly gets away with her bullshit cause people use the excuse she’s “ditzy”….. watch all her white knights defend her.”
Shortly after Skye was called out for posting the clip, she posted a tribute to the four people who lost their lives in the crash.

“Thinking about what happened today on that helicopter… Don’t ever take your life for granted guys it’s can be taken away so quickly,” she wrote.
She added, “Heart is aching for the families of those who lost their lives today.”
Skye continued, “Can everyone please pray with me for the families affected by yesterday’s devastating events, I feel sick to my stomach today and I am praying for everyone in hospital.”
“[I’m] taking the day off social media, counting my blessings and want to be present with family… I know a lot of families are hurting badly today and I’m sending them all my love and prayers.”
