Adding their envigoratingly muddy sound to theLo-Fi//Sci-Fi proceedings, Splashh have made a pilgrimage all the way from the UK for the Sydney psych event this month.
For Green Buzzard the trip hasn’t been quite as far – the group calls Melbourne home – but their addition to the roster is no less exciting. They found themselves first signed to a label before they had even played a show, so their credentials are at this stage very well assured. With songs that blend jangly guitar work and pop-oriented hooks, the Buzzard are primed and ready to impress.
These are two well-chosen additions to an already lovingly curated event, with the groups joining a roster that includes luminaries like Noise In My Head and sludgey provocateurs Sex Tourists. Make no mistake: Lo-Fi//Sci-Fi is set to be out of this world.
