Recent trends in eBay sales appear to be linked to pre-Splendour shopping sprees by festivalgoers, with a huge spike in sales of Shewees.

The ultimate festival accessory for women has seen an increase in sales of 83% recently, and it seems unlikely to be the result of a widespread hankering for the alfresco bathroom experience, especially mid-winter. In another suspiciously Splendour-appropriate trend, peasant blouses have seen an even bigger increase in sales, up 86%. Rain jackets (40%), Hunter wellies (62%), and sleeping bags (30%) have all seen a sensible spike as well.

In what is a surprise to no-one, stats also suggest Splendour punters will be decked out in fringed vests (up 57%), feather necklaces (32%), boho capes (22%), and the most maligned hat of all, fedoras (20%).Which some might think is money better spent avoiding the porta-loos, but each to their own. Everyone’s got their own priorites/bladders to worry about.

Splendour In The Grass is on over this weekend at North Byron Parklands.
