Squid Game, the blockbuster Netflix series that’s really about the woes of capitalism, has a wave of merchandise on the way, including just-announced Funko Pop figurines (because are you really culturally important without a Funko Pop figurine?).

The South Korean series has taken over everyone’s lives in a way not seen since Tiger King; it’s now Netflix’s most-watched show of all time. Now the streamer has unveiled six new Funko Pop figurines of the main characters, meaning we’re all spoiled for choice.

Maybe you want Ali (Anupam Tripathi), the struggling immigrant just trying to make a living for his wife and kid, to adorn your desk! Maybe a figurine of Sae-byeok (Jung Ho-yeon), the North Korean defector looking for a better life South of the border, will act as an important reminder of the tension between those two countries; perhaps reverse the roles and get a red guard figurine, that’ll signal to your Tinder date your authority and power.

Or why not just opt for our hero Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), the debt-ridden man unable to escape the cycle of poverty. So many options!

You won’t be able to get your hands on the figurines for a while though, with the new Funko Pops set to debut in May, 2022. They can, however, be pre-ordered now ahead of time for $11.99 each.

I personally can’t wait to see what Funko Pop have in store for us next. A bobblehead from some random true crime podcast. World leader figurines of Boris Johnson and Scott Morrison might soon make for the perfect birthday gift. Who knows.

In the meantime, read our navel-gazing look at where Squid Game might go in a potential season two; after that explosive and twist-filled finale, there surely has to be a follow-up.
