Your first look at The Mandalorian – the Star Wars TV spin-off is finally here! Executive producer Jon Favreau took to Instagram to share some information about the show as well as the first photo from it. Check it all out below!

The show is set to debut in 2019 exclusively on Disney’s streaming service which is yet to launch. Outside of Favreau, no cast or crew have been announced for the show. This is not Favreau’s first foray into the star wars universe. The Iron Man 2 director voiced both Pre Vizsla, leader of the Mandalorian Death Watch faction in The Clone Wars, and Rio Durant in the beginning of Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The new show is set to focus on a “lone gunfighter” on Mandalore – the planet where Jango and Boba Fett are from. But don’t expect to see them on your screens, the show will be set three years after Return Of The Jedi. It also promises to showcase the outer reaches of the galaxy to viewers, far away from the reach of the New Republic.

There is no set date for the shows launch as of yet, and production on the show is scheduled to start soon and cost approximately USD$100 million. Watch the trailer for last year’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi below.
