In case you thought societal attitudes had changed, 12,000 delicate flowers have had their sensibilities offended by an advertising campaign from a Dutch suit company which shows — gasp! — males kissing each other. I know!

12,000 people unfollowed SuitSupply’s Instagram account within a week of the company unveiling the campaign. Obviously there were homophobic comments sprayed all over the comment section, too, but we won’t bother repeating those here.

SuitSupply’s CEO Fokke de Jong doesn’t seem too worried, telling Business Insider: “We do not aim to and cannot control the reactions, however, the new followers and positive messages that have been prominent in our social media is a good indicator that this campaign has been well received and has impacted many people positively.

“It’s amazing what one kiss can do.”
