Good things come to those who wait – and to those who are in the culture business for the right reasons.
Chippendale live music and arts venue Freda’s has been granted a late trading licence after several years of trying.
Effective immediately from this Friday May 19, Freda’s will now open until 2am Friday and Saturday nights (from an earlier midnight closing time), and until midnight on Sundays (changed from 10pm).
Freda’s owner David Abram said, “This news gives hope to all those who want a better solution for our nightlife and who believe a night out should only be about relaxing, listening to music, dancing, and engaging with each other in a safe and respectful way.”
