If you’ve been out on the town in Sydney lately and felt as though the nightlife doesn’t particularly cater to your music taste of hip-hop, emo rap, and trap music, then you’re in luck, with news of a brand new monthly club opening in Sydney.

As Music Feeds reports, Awful Things is set to make its debut on Thursday, January 25th at Sydney’s Burdekin Hotel. Named after a song by the late rapper Lil Peep, the monthly club night is set to play all the tunes you love from the finest acts in the genre.

“The name comes from a Lil Peep song, and we thought it would be nice tribute to him. His passing really hit a lot of us personally,” says Thomas Milgate, organiser of Awful Things and monthly emo night AM//PM.

The inaugural event is set to feature plenty of live acts and DJs, including Lucidboys, Kash Kal, Yung Dready Mane, 777MBG & DXXM, and much much more.

Meanwhile, level one of the festivities is set to feature tunes from the likes of Lil Peep, Xxxtentacion, Lil Pump, Bones, and more, while level two will feature hip-hop tunes from legends of the past and present, including Post Malone, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, N.W.A, and Future.

Needless to say, this is going to be one hell of an event for the Sydney nightlife, and with it set to be a monthly happening, we urge you to get out there and help the alternative rap scene thrive, while paying tribute to one of rap’s finest stars, cut down in their prime.
