Calling all coiffured cool cats and talented tastemakers: this one’s for you.
Crack out your hair gel, get your pack of Winnie Blues tucked under your tartan shirt sleeve, and polish your ruby red tap shoes: the Sydney Rock ‘N’ Roll and Alternative Market is returning to Manning Bar. As ever, the event will feature stalls selling food, vintage fashion, make-up and of course, vinyl, that beautiful shiny black stuff.
In terms of the live music, there will be sets from Celtic punk rockers The Rumjacks, rockabilly renegades The Detonators, and swamp-stompers Mother Truckers, as well as a number of showings from some of Sydney’s premiere retro DJs.
It’s an unmissable event for fashion nerds, vinyl nerds, and swing-dancing nerds, so all lovers of the left field should save the date, stat.
The February edition of the market takes over Manning Bar on Sunday February 7.
