Gold Coast influencer Tammy Hembrow has launched a raunchy new campaign for her fitness app, with some fans calling the shoot “unnecessarily extra”.

Shooting an ultra-glossy campaign for TammyFit, many fans likened it to Kim Kardashian’s infamous 2014 Paper magazine ‘break the internet’ cover shoot, as she balanced a tray of oysters on one raised heel.

“Not only is there a new challenge starting in jan @tammyhembrowfitness but we also have soo many new recipes coming to the app including my FAVE oyster mignonette,” she captioned a behind-the-scenes clip shared to social media.

“This is better than the Kim K champagne shoot,” one follower commented, with another confirmed it was “giving Kim K vibes.”

“Tammy wins! over Kim K’s champagne butt,” wrote a third.

“Photo shoot a bit over the top; buuuut you’re my fave fitness and mum influencer,” one fan commented, while a chef and food photographer called the shoot “unnecessarily extra”.

Hembrow – a single mother of three – has over 16 million followers on Instagram alone, and an estimated net worth of $38 million.

In September this year, she fronted the digital cover of Forbes Australia, who called her “arguably one of Australia’s most successful creators”.

“I always had that entrepreneurial spirit,” Hembrow told the publication. “From when I was young, I wanted to be my own boss. I could never see myself working underneath anyone else.”

Hembrow was one of ten influencers that appeared on last year’s Australian Financial Review Young Rich List, ranking just above Tones & I’s $35 million fortune.

Dropping out of a Bachelor of Business at Bond University when she fell pregnant, Hembrow embraced social media, which at the time was a burgeoning medium.

“It was a big surprise – at the time I had just started to see social media – it was nothing like it is now, and I had started to tap into it. I was starting to post glimpses of my life, but then I got pregnant and it turned everything around on its head,” she told AFR‘s How I Made It podcast. “People around me were telling me I’d ruined my life but I took that and made people see the opposite.”
