UPDATE: After days of confusion, it’s been confirmed that Tanya Roberts has passed away. Read the latest update here.

In the biggest plot twist of 2021 so far, Tanya Roberts is apparently still alive despite a statement from her rep about her passing.

So remember all those reports about That ’70s Show star and former Bond Girl Tanya Roberts passing away at the age of 65 following a fall on Christmas Eve?

Yeah scratch that because she’s apparently still alive.

So here’s what apparently happened as far as we know: a publicist representing Roberts’ husband Lance issued out a press release on Monday, January 4th, stating that the actress had died after failing to recover from her Christmas Eve fall.

Lance was even quoted saying, “As I held her in her last moments, she opened her eyes.”

However, it seems like Lance jumped the gun just a smidge with the press release about Roberts because Lance’s publicist is now apparently telling TMZ that Lance got a call from the hospital informing him that Tanya is still alive. The publicist says that Lance had truly believed Roberts had died.

It sure makes Lance’s quote about holding Roberts “in her last moments” a little awkward now in light of this new information.

A final wrinkle in this story comes from Roberts’ family as they tell TMZ that Lance called them up to inform everyone about the A View To A Kill star’s supposed death.

So what exactly do we make of this? Well we’ll just have to wait and see but it seems like there’s something else happening behind the scenes. Or perhaps it was just a case of miscommunication followed by a distraught spouse who reacted a little prematurely.

This story is still developing at the time of writing so we’ll keep you posted on what exactly is happening in regards to how Tanya Roberts’s condition and what’s going on with Lance (and Lance’s publicist).
