Back in August, the trial of the man accused of groping Taylor Swift came to a close, with the presiding judge forcing him to pay a symbolic $1 in damages. Now, the man at the centre of it all has a new job, and some people are not happy.

The case began back in 2013, when Robert Mueller put his hand up Swift’s skirt and grabbed her during a meet-and-greet before a show. Taylor Swift’s representatives reported the incident to Mueller’s radio station, KYGO, who then subsequently fired him.

In 2015, Mueller sued Swift, her mother, and her radio promotions director Frank Bell, seeking $3 million in damages. Mueller claimed that the aforementioned pressured his station to fire him based on false information, all whilst maintaining his innocence. This case was dismissed on Friday, when a judge ruled that it could not prove that Swift personally set out to fire him.

As the New York Daily News reported a couple of days ago, Robert Mueller managed to score himself a new job as a co-host on the ‘Jackson & Jonbob’ radio show on Mississippi’s KIX 92.7. It may or may not be worth noting that Mueller now uses the name Stonewall Jackson while on air, which just so happens to be the name of a famed Confederate General in the US Civil War.

“I sat down with him face-to-face in Minneapolis before I offered him the job and talked to him about it,” stated Delta Radio CEO Larry Fuss when asked about Mueller’s history. “He’s either the world’s best liar, or he’s telling the truth. I tend to believe his version of the story and most people who have talked to him face-to-face do believe his version of the story.”

Despite this, it doesn’t seem to sit well with fans of Taylor Swift (or just, y’know, people in general), because as TMZ reports, Mueller has now been at the centre of a fake bomb threat.

TMZ notes that on Wednesday, an email was sent through to Mueller’s station on Wednesday, claiming that there was a bomb on the premises. The station then had to be evacuated while police and sniffer dogs conducted a search, only to find nothing.

Police have noted that the email that made the threat made specific references to Robert Mueller’s previous trial, leading them to believe this was specifically related to his hiring. No word yet as to whether he’s been able to shake it off or not.
