Tekken 7 is, for many fans, one of the best entries in the long-running series – but it hasn’t kept everybody happy.

While it’s got a packed roster, there were still a few beloved characters conspicuously absent from the roster, leaving players who mained them waiting in hope of the return of their favourites through DLC.

It’s great news for some long-suffering fans, then, as the Tekken World Tour Finals set the stage for a bunch of exciting reveals.

Trailers were released for metallic beast Armour King and hulking grappler Craig Marduk, while nature-loving Julia Chan is also promised to receive a trailer in the coming days.

The other big reveal today was the trailer for The Walking Dead’s Negan – a creepy, cinematic display that see the Tekken cast on the receiving end of his spiked bat.

Guest characters from other media properties are becoming more and more common, but some fans are questioning how well Negan fits into the Tekken universe. While Tekken includes guest fighters like Final Fantasy XV protagonist Noctis, his anime-esque style fits easily into the Tekken world, whereas fans feel that Negan may be better suited to a series like Mortal Kombat instead.

Of course, he doesn’t stick out anywhere near as much as one of Bandai Namco’s most bizarre crossovers, which saw Star Wars characters like Darth Vader and Yoda invade the world of Soul Calibur 4 for some improbable sword-to-lightsaber combat.
