One of the three new The Bachelor leads, Jed McIntosh, has had old controversial social media posts resurface that joke about “rape” and other predatory behaviour.

McIntosh has since apologised for the posts, but his position on the show is still being strongly questioned by fans.

According to So Dramatic! the posts from 2011 were uncovered by a newly created account.

In one of the posts, McIntosh writes that he and another person “are gonna rape yas [sic].” He then adds: “so watch out because theres a storm coming kids 😉 [sic].”

Two additional screenshots of McIntosh’s posts were shared. In one of the posts, he allegedly writes, “So now it’s just you and me captain, [blacked out name] let’s go into battle and smash some pussy and let people now that we’re MOTHER FUCKING SINGLE”.

In the third post that was shared, he states that he was “having a perve on” his teacher.

McIntosh is 25, and the offensive posts were shared in 2011, which means he would have been around 14 at the time. McIntosh has apologised for the disturbing content, claiming that he is “shocked seeing these posts”.

“These posts are from over 10 years ago and I don’t have any recollection of making them,” he continued in a statement to The Daily Telegraph.

Anyone who knows me knows this is not who I am.”

He added: “As a kid we say things not understanding the gravity of the language used but I can adamantly say as an adult I do not agree with the use of language and sentiment of the posts.”

I have the upmost respect for women, am a strong advocate for assault victims and would never want to cause any harm or hurt to anyone.”
