The new season of The Bachelor Australia is reckoning with an STD scandal after a contestant allegedly slept with a porn star.

The new season of The Bachelor Australia is proving to be risqué in more ways than one. Shortly after the producers introduced the very first X-rated Fantasy Suite – meant for overnight dates between the contestants and the bachelors – the show is reportedly reckoning with an STD scandal. A contestant allegedly slept with a porn star and bragged about it to others on the show.

According to Daily Mail Australia, an unnamed contestant has had to be screened for STDs ‘on a number of occasions’ after claiming she slept with a porn actor to her cast-mates.

As reported by Daily Mail Australia, a source close to the show said: “[She] had to get tested again and again because [she] claimed to have f**ked a porn star and revealed that to everyone in the house.”

“All the producers were worried about her getting close to the Bachelors. They were worried the mansion would turn into this super-spreader [event],” the source added. “They needed to protect their Bachelors, basically.”

This isn’t the only scandal in store for this season of The Bachelor. According to So Dramatic!, the show is set to have a very MAFS-style scandal after a contestant dished about Jasmine Absolom’s OnlyFans account to Bachelor Jed, before she could.

According to a source who spoke to the publication, Absolom ‘constantly’ talked about her OnlyFans in the house, leading the contestants to believe that ‘she was trying to get it out there to build it up and get more subscribers.’

However, it turned into a huge debacle after Tash outed the existence of the account to Jed. She was also called out by Marnie after revealing Jessica’s sexuality to everyone else: “‘You’ve already spilled the beans about Jess being polyamorous, like, give the girls their moment to share their news if that’s what they want to do. It’s not up to you’,” the source quoted Marnie saying.
