The new The Bachelor leads, Jed Thomas and Felix have said that they didn’t hold back when it came to getting physical with contestants in the upcoming season.

During a chat with TV Week Felix said that he and the other leads got “awfully close” to “R-rated moments”.

Je added, “It [the new season] is definitely not as reserved as it has been, we were definitely allowed to express the way that we felt physically and I think that was great given the amount of connections that were there that we all had on the show. Tune in to watch, there will definitely be no lack of steam!”

Thomas teased that things got intimate between the leads and the contestants.

Yeah, there was a lot happening and it was usually quite loud….”

Felix went as far as to say that there were love ‘shapes’ involving 12 people.

It got so steamy, there was like a love dodecahedron. Mud baths, jacuzzis, paint, you name it, it was very steamy, every fluid you can think of was everywhere,” he joked.

During a recent interview on Kyle and Jackie O show, Jed, Felix and Thomas, the men revealed that they had a “new sex rule” on the show.

When Kyle asked the men if there was any “rooting” on the upcoming season, Felix told the host that the men “have the option.”

Brittany, who was filling in for Jackie O and has competed on The Bachelor, was shocked that they were allowed. “Yeah it’s changed [from when Brittany was on the show],” Jed confirmed.

Felix then clarified that while the men were allowed to get intimate with women on the show, they have strict guidelines they needed to follow, like getting consent from a psychologist for both parties.

“I reckon it gets much steamier than it has on any of the other bachelors before. These days, there’s a consent chat and everything that happens. So if you’re still in the mood after a 40 minute chat about whether both parties are willing [with a physcologist]. It’s like a three week process before you can actually proceed,” he said.

Brittany pressed for further information and asked how exactly the men managed to get time alone with the women.

“This, this is very new to the franchise, very new to me,” she said. “You’re not even left alone on the previous seasons. You could not even do anything if you tried. How does it work now? Do you get like a suite that you’re allowed to go to and obviously there’s no cameras?”

Jed explained that he and his co-stars were able to bring women back to the penthouse they shared.

“Our penthouse where we were staying, we had our individual rooms and there was a big spa. So you have the option if you want to, you know, hang out with them later, you can do that,” he said.
