The Chaser have responded to the recent Sydney Opera House advertising controversy in the most The Chaser way imaginable. The comedians projected the phone number of conservative radio host Alan Jones onto the buildings sails.
The NSW government copped considerable backlash this week. After it was announced that the iconic landmark would be used to display a promotion for Racing NSW, a decision that ignored the objections of the caretakers of the building.
Alan Jones has also been on the receiving end of criticism (rare) after Opera House CEO Louise Herron appeared on his radio show. Jones told Herron that she should be sacked over her decision to rule out allowing words or branding highlighting the horse race to be projected on the sails of the building.
Herron refused to budge on her decision but was overruled by NSW premier Gladys Berejeklian.
The Chaser took the opportunity to make a mockery out of the whole affair, check out their pièce de résistance below:
See… it really is a great billboard. Jorn Utzon would be so proud. pic.twitter.com/pXxFarHd9u
