The inaugural Great Australian Podcast Festival has unveiled its stacked lineup of live shows.
That’s right, some of our favourite podcasts are set to jump out of our headphones and onto the stage at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre in November.
Described as the largest podcasting festival Australia has ever hosted, the new event will offer the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the biggest names in Aussie podcasting.
Among the podcasters appearing at the event include comedians Em Rusciano (Emsolation), Matt Okine (All Day Breakfast), Alex Dyson (All Day Breakfast), Urzila Carson (That’s Enough Already), Wil Anderson (TOFOP), Becky Lucas and Cameron James (The Becky and Cam Hotline).
On top of that, dedicated comedy podcasts The Little Dum Dum Club, Do Go On and Mid Flight Brawl will all also be putting on live shows, so the laughs are pretty much guaranteed no matter who you choose to see.
Entertainment journalist turned Australia’s answer to Gossip Girl Megan Pustetto will also be hitting the stage with her reality TV podcast So Dramatic!, which was named Australia’s number one TV & Film Podcast in 2020, its first year on air.
Tickets for the festival go on sale Thursday, July 1st via Ticketmaster, with a Live Nation members presale beginning on Wednesday, June 30th.
