Despite being just one of seven MAFS contestants invited to the 2022 Logies, it turns out it wasn’t all fun and games for Domenica Calarco at the event.

The popular reality TV star told Abbie Chatfield on her podcast that the cast were took into a “separate room” instead of the main ceremony area when they arrived at The Star Gold Coast on Sunday night.

“We did the red carpet, it took an hour-and-a-half to get all the way through, and by the time we got to the media wall they ushered us in our group and wouldn’t let us go in the big room,” she revealed.

“We were a bit accosted … We thought we were going into the main room and they said, ‘No guys, up the escalator.’ They were like, ‘You’ve got to go in this other room with all the Channel 9 people.’ It was just Channel 9 people from The Block and Travel Guides.”

Calarco added that the MAFS crew were then allowed into the main ceremony area just 20 minutes before their award for Most Popular Reality Program was announced. Not for long though.

“They had a table for us with our main [courses] on it, but then we couldn’t say there,” she said. “I think maybe because they were like, ‘The MAFS people are a bit rowdy.’ I don’t know, what’s the other reasoning? They really didn’t give me a specific answer, they just sold it as, ‘This [room] is more fun.”

The Logies night might not have been as glamorous as Calarco and co. hoped it was, but at least they got invited. The likes of Olivia Frazer, Jackson Lonie, Tamara Djordjevic, Selin Mengu, Daniel Holmes, and Mitch Eynaud all missed out on an invite.

Olivia and Jackson were reportedly so upset by the snub that they contacted Channel Nine executives to try and get an invite.
