The Sims is turning into a reality show, now we can see if people can actually get out of a swimming pool without using a ladder

Because it’s not psychopathic at all, you can’t deny that you’ve spend some of your time in The Sims world tormenting the virtual players by placing them in a swimming pool, switching to ‘build mode’, and then quickly removing the ladder to see how the sims react. (If you’re not anything like me, let me tell you that 9/10 times, the grim reaper comes for them.)

Well, get ready to see it all play out in live mode, as the popular video game is now turning into a reality show via TBS called The Sims Spark’d.

Moulded to be a competition show, the new series will kick off on Friday, July 17th as a four-episode series, which will see players as Sims navigating different challenges that will test their storytelling talents.

“Since its inception, The Sims has been a groundbreaking experience, allowing players to create and virtually live out the stories they create in-game,” general manager of the game, Lyndsay Pearson, stated.

“We’re continuing that innovative spirit, bringing our community together to compete and showcase their in-game storytelling on a reality show in an entirely new way.”

The show will host a massive $100,000 prize to the winner of the competition who is able to navigate the life of a sim in the best way possible, all while having home viewers participate in some of the in-game challenges on offer.
