It’s been a big year for shoe trends. From high-heeled crocs to “joots“, it’s been tough for everyone to keep up with the latest styles. However less than two months since denim boots became the must have clothing for your feet, the fashion gods have thrown them in the bin.
A Paris fashion show from Y/Project in January saw the debut of these stunners, but it’s taken a while for the general public to think so fashion-forward. Now as humidity and heat rises across Australia, we think it’s the most seasonally-inappropriate time to bring the trend down under.
The new style of ugg comes from a collaboration between UGG and Y/Project’s Glenn Martens. When discussing the bold and brave new style, Martens told iD wearing uggs was like “putting your feet in butter. What’s better than that? Putting your thighs in butter.” … Fair point.
The brand is offering several different styles of the boot, from tiered, to ones that look like a canvas sleeping bag for your leg. There’s truly something for everyone!
