Following on from his last record, 2013’sApocalypse,Thundercat will release a new mini-album,The Beyond/Where the Giants Roamnext year and he has announced his Australian return next February to celebrate it.

After starting his careerplaying bass for punk thrash icons Suicidal Tendencies,Stephen Bruner aka Thundercat, followed that up by becominga sometime session musician for Erykah Badu. He alsowrote a large chunk of Kendrick Lamar’sTo Pimp a Butterflyalbum and is amember of Flying Lotus’ highly esteemed Brainfeeder imprint.

He will play a show in Sydney and Melbourne, alongside Laneway Festival next year.

Thundercat will bring his grooves to Max Watt’s on Wednesday February 10. Tickets are on salethrough the venue.
