If you’re looking for a room with a view in New York’s Times Square, this might not be the one.

TikTok user Desiree Baker has gone viral with a video of her suite at the Cassa Hotel & Residences in Midtown.

“How is this LEGAL you literally can not make this up,” she posted, along side a video of her suite at the hotel.

HOW IS THIS LEGAL you literally can not make this up. I can open the window and touch their table

The video shows what looks like a regular twin bed hotel room – until she raises the window blind.

On the other side of the (one-sided mirror) window is a couple eating dinner at a restaurant table.

A table at Tempura restaurant in Times Square, to be exact.

Not the city skyline Baker expected from the suite’s Airbnb listing.

“When we got to the hotel it was dark and we just went to bed,” Baker explained.

“When we woke up there were blackout shades but I was so excited to see the view. I thought I was going to see a building, a skyline or whatever.”

To make it even weirder, the room’s window opens onto the table – so the occupants could ‘join’ diners at the table.

“I roll up the shades and we are in a restaurant. We are fully in a restaurant,” Baker said.

“I can open up this window and fully join these people at their dinner, at their lunch.”

Baker did reach out to the Airbnb host to query why the listing’s expectation did not meet the reality.

“Apologies for taking some time to reply to you, actually we were going to cancel your reservation as we had some room issues, however, we were able to manage to host you,” the host replied.

“I believe everything went and is going well during your stay and glad to know that we were able to host you during this time of year.”

Baker then received a response from Airbnb, whose employees had seen the now-viral video.

They said they will be following up with the host and have given Baker a coupon for a future Airbnb stay.
