Popular Triple M host Gus Worland has been rushed to hospital after holding a fundraiser for his charity Gotcha4life.

The radio host suffered a hernia and was taken to the emergency room on Saturday night and underwent emergency surgery for the condition on Monday.

“What started with a fundraiser for my foundation in Orange at the mighty @orangeemusrugby on Saturday night turned into an emergency hernia operation-brilliant staff. Here for a few days,” Worland posted to Instagram.

Fans and friends have flooded the radio stars comments section to send their well wishes.

“Shiiiit.. Hope you’re doing alright brother much love,” MAFS star Cam commented. Fellow journalist Peter Fegan wrote, “All the best legend!! Speedy recovery!!!”

Worland started the mental fitness charity Gotcha4life in 2007 and the non-profit has the goal of achieving zero suicides in Australia “engaging, educating and empowering local communities”

“Gotcha4Life came off the back of a program I did, Man Up, for the ABC. It’s had more than 78 million views now. I’m so proud of it. It’s by far the most important thing I’ve ever done,” he says.
