Two more classic Neighbors stars have returned for a surprise cameo on Australia’s longest-running soap opera, which started in 1985.

Neighbors has been on the air for 37 years, making it the longest-running soap opera in Australian history. The series has been the launch pad for many of Australia’s most notable film stars. With the series finale airing recently in Australia, much of the old guard came back to pay tribute to the soap that gave them their start.

Two tightly kept secret cameos were Natalie Imbruglia returning as Beth Brennan and Holly Valance reprising her role as Flick Scully. Imbruglia appeared on the show between 1992 and 1994 while Valance appeared as Scully between 1999 and 2002. The two went on to both pursue their own respective music careers with Imbruglia successfully releasing six albums including her most successful, Left of the Middle. Valance’s musical career comprised of a string of popular singles before she ultimately decided to move on to different ventures.

Valance’s “different ventures” included marrying billionaire property developer Nick Candy in 2012. Candy is a billionaire archetype— coming from an affluent family, providing him with the best education and access to resources, a family that gave him and his brother a loan to get their company up and running. Since marrying Nick, Holly Valance has been seen popping up in places such as former US President Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago in April of this year where she got friendly with him for a meet-and-greet. The two were also seen attending the UK Conservative Party’s Summer Ball.

Imbruglia and Valance filmed their scene together in London, where they both live.

Another notable alumn to return for the series’ final hoorah was Margot Robbie, who reprised her character Donna Freedman, whom she played between 2008 and 2011. Freedman was an obsessive fan of musician Ty Harper and went on to marry her boyfriend Ringo before being written out of the show, as the character headed to design school in New York after the tragic death of her husband.
