Forget Splendour in the Grass, Victoria is getting the most important festival of the year. Yarra Valley Chocolaterie, Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie and Mornington Peninsula Chocolaterie, are hosting a 12-day brownie festival.

Brownies are quite simply, one of the most divine desserts on the planet. Is there anything that is capable of conjuring joy quite like an oozy, gooey, chocolatey brownie combined with a smooth vanilla ice-cream? Absolutely not.

The festival will boast 16 brownie varieties, including brownie bites, brownie ice cream and sundaes topped with brown chunks. The most bewildering offering on the menu is the brownie dessert pizza, we’re not even sure what that means, but we know we’ll be hot-footing it down to Yarra just to experience it in all its glory.

As well as experiencing brownies in every form imaginable, the festival will be hosting tasting sessions, where guests will have the opportunity to bake their own brownie from scratch and sample six different types of brownies. It really epitomises indulgence.

The festival kicks off next week on June 12th, and runs all the way through to June 23rd. Oh, the best part — it’s free! Details below.
