Fusing digital technologies with visual and sonic innovation, a collaboration between Mod Productions and the Australian Chamber Orchestra allows audiences to experience classical music in a revolutionary new way.
ACO Virtual, the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s world-first digital installation, uses state-of-the-art video technology to surround audiences with projections of the ACO’s acclaimed musicians, with the sound of each musician coming from their projection.
Audiences are then encouraged to use a touch-screen “music stand” to spotlight and listen to one musician, one section, or the entire orchestra.
